Replacement Gas Lift Cylinder

This adjustable gas lift cylinder replaces worn chair cylinders in office, salon, executive and rolling-stool seats. It fits the near-universal mounting pattern found on most standard chairs. The unit supports up to 1000LBS, well above typical office loads. Buyers needing a proprietary or non-standard cylinder size cannot use this part.

Silent 360° Rotation and Durability

The cylinder delivers silent 360° rotation with no audible noise during height changes or swivelling. Aerodynamic damping keeps movement smooth without impacting colleagues. SGS testing and BIFMA certification confirm structural safety and explosion-proof construction. Thickened outer steel resists deformation under sustained heavy loads.

5.5-Inch Travel Range

Compressed height measures 11.4 inches and extended height reaches 16.9 inches, giving 5.5 inches of adjustable travel. This range determines whether the chair will sit low enough or rise high enough for a specific desk and user. Verify the required stroke before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the BFKK gas lift cylinder and which step do people often get wrong?

Remove the old cylinder, align the new one with the chair base and seat mechanism, then press firmly until it locks; the step most people miss is seating the tapered end fully into the base so the 5.5 inch travel works smoothly.

What maintenance or replacement will this cylinder need later?

The sealed unit requires no routine maintenance; if the chair sinks or the 360 rotation stiffens after extended use, replace the entire cylinder.

What limit appears first under sustained heavy use?

The 1000LBS load rating is the first limit; exceeding it can cause premature pressure loss or safety-valve activation.
