Outdoor 5.8 GHz Wireless Bridge Pair

The BFKK CPE-452 is a two-pack of outdoor wireless access points built for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint links. Each unit integrates a 14 dBi high-gain antenna to deliver up to 300 Mbps throughput between paired bridges. The system targets installers who need to extend network or camera feeds across a property without trenching cable.

PoE-Powered Dual-Port Mounting

Every bridge carries two 100 Mbps RJ45 ports, both accepting 24 V passive PoE so a single Cat5e cable handles data and power. The included PoE adapters supply voltage only through their dedicated PoE ports, leaving the LAN ports free for downstream devices. No separate DC supply is required, simplifying pole or wall mounting where mains power is absent.

Dial-Based Pairing Without GUI

Channel pairing is set by changing the digital-tube characters on the unit itself; a steady LED confirms link-up while blinking shows configuration mode. An A-B button assigns master or slave roles instantly, allowing one master to serve multiple slaves on the same channel. This hardware-only setup removes the need for web-interface configuration during deployment.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum throughput the 5.8 GHz link can sustain between the two CPE-452 units?

The built-in 14 dBi antenna lets the paired bridges reach a 300 Mbps transmission rate under optimal alignment and clear line of sight.

How much heat or noise should I expect when the bridge runs continuously outdoors?

The unit is passively cooled with no fan, so it generates no audible noise; heat is dissipated through the metal enclosure during 24/7 operation.

Which cables and power gear must I already have to install the 2-pack?

You need two Cat 5e (or better) Ethernet cables for the 100 Mbps RJ45 ports; the included 24 V PoE adapters inject power over those same cables.
