Smart Card Reader with NFC
The BFKK 2-in-1 reader handles both contact chip cards and contactless NFC cards through a single device. It is built for CAC and Common Access applications used in government, military, and business environments. The unit works with Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS, Linux, and Android without needing a driver for the reader itself.
Dual USB-C and USB-A Interface
A built-in USB-C cable and an attached USB-A adapter let you connect to modern and older ports without carrying a separate converter. This dual interface means the reader plugs directly into laptops, desktops, and workstations regardless of the available port type. No extra dongle is required for either connection.
ISO7816 and ISO14443 Compatibility
The reader supports ISO7816 contact smart cards and ISO14443 contactless cards across Class A, B, and C in 5V, 3V, and 1.8V formats. It follows PC/SC, CCID, EMV, and Microsoft WHQL standards for broad card and middleware support. Buyers who need a reader for unsupported proprietary card formats or non-standard voltage levels should verify compatibility before purchase.

Questions about this item
Will the USB-C cable or USB-A adapter need replacing after frequent plugging and unplugging?
The built-in USB-C cable and attached USB-A adapter are fixed parts; if either connector wears out the whole reader would need replacement.
What limits how many cards I can read back-to-back without pausing?
The reader handles ISO7816 contact and ISO14443 contactless cards continuously; the practical limit is the speed of the host PC and any middleware software.
Does the reader get warm or draw noticeable power when left plugged in all day?
It draws power only from the USB port with no external supply, so heat and power draw stay minimal during extended use.
