Dual-Slot CFexpress Type B and SD 4.0 Reader
This USB 3.2 Gen 2 card reader accepts CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD cards simultaneously. It suits photographers and videographers who offload high-resolution footage from two media formats at once. The Space Gray aluminium shell matches modern laptop aesthetics. Backward compatibility covers UHS-I and older SDXC, SDHC and SD cards.
USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps Interface and Power Behaviour
The USB-C connection delivers a theoretical 10Gbps link, with simultaneous transfers from both slots at up to 1.25Gbps each. Bus power is sufficient on USB-C ports; USB-A ports may occasionally supply insufficient current, causing the device to drop a card until one is removed. No external power adapter is included or required.
Upgrade from Single-Slot or USB 3.0 Readers
Users moving from a single-slot USB 3.0 reader gain dual-card concurrency and up to twice the interface bandwidth. The jump is worth it when workflows demand rapid ingest from CFexpress Type B and SD media together. It does not serve users who need CFexpress Type A, microSD or CompactFlash support.

Questions about this item
How do I connect the reader to a USB-A port without the device disappearing when both card slots are full?
Use the included USB-A to C cable and, if the host port cannot supply enough current, remove one card so the reader stays enumerated.
Which cable will wear out first and need replacing?
The supplied USB-A to C and C to C cables are the only parts subject to repeated plug cycles; replace whichever shows damaged connectors or intermittent contact.
What throughput ceiling appears first during long simultaneous transfers from both slots?
The USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps host link caps combined throughput, so sustained dual-card copies plateau at the bus limit rather than the individual card speeds.
