Five-blade refillable kit

The BIC Flex 5 pack contains one black handle and seven cartridges, each fitted with five ultra-thin flexible blades. A lubricating strip enriched with aloe and vitamin E is designed to improve glide during wet shaving. The set includes a protective blade cover for each cartridge. The handle weighs 0.118 kilograms and measures 2.8956 cm x 10.0076 cm x 19.944899999999997 cm.

Suits daily wet shavers; not for electric users

Men who shave several times a week with water and foam will find up to 13 shaves per cartridge and a built-in precision edging blade for sideburns and under the nose. The pivoting head follows facial contours. Buyers who prefer an electric shaver or a single-blade safety razor will not be served by this cartridge system.

Fits in a wash bag or gym kit

The compact handle and included blade covers allow the razor to travel without a separate case. No batteries, charging or power source are required, so it works anywhere water is available. Refill cartridges are sold separately, meaning the handle remains in use while only the blade unit is replaced.

Questions about this item

Does the BIC Flex 5 handle accept any other cartridge series besides the five-blade refills?

The handle is designed for BIC Flex 5 cartridges only; Flex 4 or Flex 3 refills will not fit.

Can I keep using the same handle when the seven included cartridges are spent?

Yes, the handle is refillable — simply purchase additional Flex 5 cartridge packs and snap them onto the existing handle.

How will I know the lubricating strip is still effective during a shave?

The aloe and vitamin E strip fades from green to white; when the colour is gone the glide benefit has worn off.
