Bright Edition 40-Count Mechanical Pencils

This 40-count pack of BIC Xtra-Smooth Bright Edition No. 2 mechanical pencils supplies a classroom, office or household with a long-lasting stock of ready-to-write instruments. Each pencil uses 0.7mm medium-point lead that advances with a click of the built-in eraser so sharpening is never required.

Students and professionals needing reliable No.

The No. 2 lead is compatible with most standardized tests and produces clean, smudge-resistant lines that erase neatly, making the pencils suited for exams, note-taking and everyday paperwork. Buyers who need a different lead grade, a metal barrel or a refillable premium mechanism should look elsewhere.

0.7mm medium point with click-advance eraser

The 0.7mm point width defines the line weight for all writing tasks in this pack, and the integrated click-advance eraser controls lead feed without a separate button. If your work demands a finer or broader line width, this specification will not match the requirement.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the lead in these 0.7mm pencils?

The 0.7mm lead advances with a click of the built-in eraser; each pencil is refillable so you only replace the lead stick when it runs out.

What stops me from writing continuously with the 40-count pack?

The limiting factor is the finite lead supply inside each barrel; once a pencil's lead is exhausted you must refill or switch to another of the 40 pencils.

Do the plastic barrels get warm or make noise during all-day use?

The pencils are passive mechanical devices with no motor or electronics, so they produce no heat and no audible noise during extended writing sessions.
