Thick 0.9 mm Point for Test Use

The BIC Xtra Strong mechanical pencil delivers a 0.9 mm thick point that writes clean No. 2 lines suitable for standardised tests. Each barrel holds refillable lead that never requires sharpening. A built-in eraser advances the lead with a simple click. The pack contains 24 blue pencils ready for classroom or office supply drawers.

Click-to-Advance Refill System

Installation is immediate: remove a pencil from the pack and click the eraser to extend the lead. The refillable design accepts standard 0.9 mm refills when the original supply runs out. A pocket clip secures the pencil to notebooks or pockets. The only common issue is applying excessive pressure, which can snap the thicker lead.

Verify Lead Size and Test Requirements

Before ordering, confirm that 0.9 mm lead matches the writer's preference and any exam specifications. The blue barrels are colour-coded for quick identification in shared trays. Each unit weighs 0.15 kilograms and measures 2.9 by 10.3 by 19.1 centimetres. Buyers needing finer lines or non-refillable disposables should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I know the 0.9 mm lead is advancing correctly after I click the eraser?

Click the built-in eraser and watch the thick point extend; the lead should feed smoothly without jamming and leave a clean, non-smudging line on paper.

What comes in the 24-count pack and is anything else needed to start writing?

The pack contains 24 blue mechanical pencils each with a built-in eraser and pocket clip; they are pre-loaded with No. 2 lead so no separate refills are required for immediate use.

Which version should I choose if I need a thicker point for standardised tests?

Select the 0.9 mm thick-point version — its No. 2 lead is compatible with most standardised tests and the stronger point resists breakage under pressure.
