Compatible Dodge RAM Models

This Android 13 head unit fits Dodge RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks from 2013 through 2018 equipped with manual air conditioning. It targets owners who want modern smartphone integration without replacing the factory dashboard layout. The 1280 by 720 IPS display supports 4K video playback for rear passengers. Buyers needing a unit for automatic climate control trucks cannot use this model.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The harness is designed for direct connection to the factory wiring, so no splicing is required for power, speakers or steering-wheel controls. Retaining the original wheel buttons lets you change tracks and adjust volume without learning a new layout. The wired Android Auto link needs a physical USB connection, which may limit phone placement compared to fully wireless setups. Installers should verify the manual AC trim match before mounting.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

The 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage handle navigation, music streaming and 4K video simultaneously during long trips. Wireless CarPlay maintains a stable link over extended drives, while the Android 13 base keeps background apps from forcing reloads. Heat dissipation relies on the chassis alone, so continuous high-load use in direct sunlight may throttle performance. The system is built for daily driving rather than commercial all-day runtime.
