Flame-retardant masking paper

Binks 29-865 is a white, flame-retardant masking paper supplied on a roll measuring 60 inches wide by 300 feet long. It is designed for use in paint booths to protect surfaces from overspray during spray finishing work. Professional painters and automotive refinishers use it to cover large areas quickly.

Fire-resistant material properties

The paper carries a flame-retardant treatment intended to reduce fire risk in spray environments where flammable coatings and solvents are present. It resists ignition from stray sparks or hot particles generated during application. The white colour helps reflect booth lighting for better visibility while masking.

Roll format for booth workflow

The 60-inch width covers broad panels or vehicle sides in fewer passes, while the 300-foot length supports multiple jobs before a roll change is needed. It tears by hand for fast fitting around irregular shapes and adheres with standard masking tape. The roll format stores flat and dispenses cleanly in busy shop conditions.

Questions about this item

How do I hang the 60 in wide Binks 29-865 paper in my spray booth?

Unroll the 300 ft roll across the booth opening, tear off the needed length, and secure the top edge with masking tape or a dispenser bar so the paper hangs flat without gaps.

When does the 29-865 masking paper need to be replaced during a job?

Replace the roll when overspray saturates the surface, the paper tears, or the flame-retardant coating no longer repels paint, typically after each vehicle or panel set.

What limits how long the 60 in x 300 ft roll lasts under continuous spraying?

The 300 ft length is the hard limit; once the roll is fully dispensed you must load a new one to keep the booth protected.
