Disposable 5-gallon tank strainer

The Binks PS-5GAL-K20-200 is a red polyethylene strainer designed for 5-gallon pressure tanks. Each unit measures 12 inches in outside diameter and 11 inches inside diameter. The pack contains twenty disposable strainers for single-use filtration tasks.

200-micron mesh filtration limit

The 200-micron mesh captures particles at that specific threshold while allowing coating material to flow. Finer contamination below this size will pass through the strainer. The polyethylene construction is not reusable and must be discarded after each use.

NFPA 99 compliance requirement

These strainers meet the NFPA 99 standard for use in applicable environments. Buyers whose operations do not require this specific standard may not need this certified product. The fixed 12-inch diameter fits only compatible 5-gallon pails.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 20-pack or is there a smaller option?

Only the 20-count package is listed, so you receive twenty disposable strainers in one box.

How fine is the 200 micron mesh when filtering paint?

The 200 micron mesh catches particles larger than 200 micron, letting properly thinned coatings flow through while blocking most debris.

Does the NFPA 99 rating limit which fluids I can strain?

NFPA 99 is a safety standard; the strainer itself works with any coating that fits a 5-gallon pail and passes a 200 micron mesh.
