This Black Box ACU5520A extender transmits dual-link DVI video, USB 2.0 signals and analogue audio over a single CAT6a or CAT7 cable up to 160 feet (50 m). It suits administrators who need to place a workstation in a quiet area while keeping the host computer in a secure rack or server room.

Transmitter and Receiver Connectivity

The transmitter provides one DVI-D female input that rejects DVI-I cables, a USB Type B port, 3.5 mm audio and an RJ45 link port powered through a 2.5 mm barrel connector. The receiver mirrors the video output, adds four USB Type A ports for keyboards, mice, tablets or mass storage, plus matching audio and power connections.

Verify Cable and Device Compatibility

Ensure the installation can run CAT6a or CAT7 cabling within the 50 metre limit and that the source system outputs dual-link DVI at 1920 x 1200 @60 Hz. Connected USB peripherals must operate at low or full speed; high-speed devices are not supported. DVI-I cables will not fit the DVI-D ports.
