DB25 extension cable for serial links

This 25-foot (7.6-metre) DB25 male-to-female cable extends existing serial or parallel connections without signal conversion. It suits technicians maintaining legacy industrial, laboratory or telecom equipment that relies on the DB25 interface. The Black Box BC00714 is not for builders who need a gender changer only or a shorter patch lead.

Straight-through wiring preserves pin-out

The cable uses straight-through wiring so every pin on the male connector maps directly to the matching pin on the female end, avoiding cross-wired surprises. Its moulded strain relief protects the solder joints during repeated mating cycles. Buyers who require null-modem crossover or a different connector type will need a separate adapter.

Questions about this item

Does the 25-ft DB25 extension cable require any periodic maintenance or connector replacement?

The cable has no moving parts or serviceable components; normal use does not call for scheduled maintenance or planned connector replacement.

What is the first limitation you hit when running signals continuously through the 7.6-m DB25 link?

Signal attenuation over the 7.6-m length becomes the limiting factor before any connector wear appears.
