KVM Extender Kit DVI-D USB 2.0

The Black Box KVXLC-100-R2 extends DVI-D video, USB 2.0, serial and audio signals between a local transmitter and a remote receiver over standard CAT5e or CAT6 cabling. It is built for operators who need to place a computer up to 330 feet away from the workstation while keeping full peripheral access. The kit supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hz.

Transparent USB 2.0 and Serial Extension

USB 2.0 transparency allows keyboards, mice, mass storage and other HID devices to function as if directly connected. An RS-232 channel passes serial peripheral data without configuration. Bi-directional audio routes speaker and microphone signals both ways. The local DVI loopback port on the transmitter lets a second monitor mirror the output for local monitoring.

Distance and Resolution Headroom

The link reaches 100 metres over copper twisted pair, which covers typical server-room-to-desk runs in offices or industrial sites. Video bandwidth handles 1920x1200 at 60 Hz, so standard business displays work without compression artefacts. Builders who need 4K resolution, higher refresh rates or fibre-distance links will need a different extender class.
