The Black Box LSP422 is a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver built for single-mode fiber links up to 10 kilometres. It operates at a 1310-nm wavelength and supports line rates between 9.95 and 11.32 Gbps. The module fits standard SFP+ ports on enterprise switches and routers.

Thermals, noise and power

The transceiver is a passive optical module with no moving parts, so it adds negligible acoustic noise to the rack.
