The HPE 1620-48G is a 1U rack-mountable switch with 48 RJ-45 ports that run at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps. It provides Layer 2 management through SNMP, CLI and IGMP snooping for networks that need controlled traffic segmentation.

The 96 Gbps fabric and 16,384-entry MAC table handle full wire-speed forwarding across all 48 ports. Headroom runs out when aggregate traffic exceeds the 96 Gbps backplane or when the 128 MB SDRAM limits large routing tables.
