What this splitter does

The Black Box Corporation VSP-HDMI1X2-4K distributes a single HDMI source to two displays simultaneously. It supports video resolutions up to 4K and passes multi-channel audio without degradation. The unit is designed for professional AV installations, digital signage, and presentation environments requiring reliable signal duplication.

EDID management decides compatibility

Advanced EDID functionality lets the splitter automatically read and copy display capabilities or accept a manual EDID upload. This ensures the source outputs the correct resolution, refresh rate, and audio format for the connected screens. Without proper EDID handling, sources may default to lower resolutions or fail to output audio.

Two displays at 4K with headroom for lower

The splitter comfortably drives two 4K displays at standard refresh rates from one source. It handles 1080p and 1440p signals with ample margin for longer cable runs. It cannot expand a single source across three or more screens, nor does it switch between multiple inputs.
