Black Box Corporation Wizard KVM Switch Dual-Link DVI Tri-Head USB True Emulation KV2304A

Tri-Head KVM Switch

The Black Box Wizard KV2304A is a four-port KVM switch that lets one operator control four computers from a single tri-head console. It supports dual-link DVI video on each of the three monitor outputs and provides USB keyboard and mouse emulation so switching remains transparent to the connected systems. This unit targets administrators and multi-system workstations that require simultaneous visibility across three displays.

Dual-Link DVI Console Integration

Each computer connects through dual-link DVI cables for video and USB for HID signals, while the console side presents three DVI ports plus USB ports for keyboard, mouse and two additional USB 2.0 peripherals. True USB emulation keeps keyboard and mouse presence constant during port changes, preventing driver re-enumeration delays. The included 5 V power supply and adhesive feet allow immediate desktop or rack-shelf placement without extra mounting hardware.

Four-Port Upgrade Path

The switch replaces single- or dual-head KVMs when a third display becomes necessary for monitoring, development or broadcast workflows. It is not suited for environments that require DisplayPort, HDMI or analog VGA video inputs, nor for users who need more than four target computers or remote IP access. The jump is worthwhile when the existing infrastructure already uses dual-link DVI and the operator needs three synchronised digital outputs.
