SKU CH-MWJX-VG444 MPN C6APC28-BK-10

A 10 ft Cat6a UTP patch cable with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors supports 10 Gbit/s at 500 MHz

  • Cat6a 500 MHz bandwidth supports 10 Gbit/s transfers

  • Snagless booted plugs protect the latch during repeated connects
  • CM-rated PVC jacket meets in-wall fire-code requirements
  • Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion for long-term signal integrity

10 ft Cat6a patch cable

This 10 ft Category 6a patch cable uses 28 AWG stranded conductors and RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. Gold-plated contacts and a CM-rated PVC jacket support 10 Gbit/s data transfer. The snagless booted design adds strain relief for durable connections.

Suited for high-density patch panels

The slim 28 AWG build fits tight patch panels, wall plates and network devices where thicker cables would block adjacent ports. Buyers who need shielded cable for noisy environments or a longer run than 10 ft should look at something else.

Check port spacing and cable routing

Verify that the target patch panel or wall plate accepts 28 AWG stranded terminations and that the 10 ft length reaches between your devices without excess slack. Confirm the CM jacket rating meets local fire-code requirements for the installation path.

Questions about this item

What RJ-45 port speed is needed to use the 10 Gbit/s rating of this Cat6a cable?

Connect it to a 10 Gbit/s RJ-45 port on a switch, router, or network card to achieve the rated throughput.

Will the 28 AWG stranded conductors fit a standard keystone jack or patch panel punch-down?

No, both ends are factory-terminated RJ-45 male plugs; the cable is not designed for punch-down termination.

How can I confirm the link is running at 10 Gbit/s after plugging in the cable?

Check the port status LEDs or the operating system network adapter settings for a 10 Gbit/s link speed indication.
