A four-pack of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth smart plugs with energy monitoring, voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant, scheduling, and ETL certification for indoor use
This Black & Decker H5086 four-pack provides WiFi and Bluetooth smart outlets rated at 15A and 120V for controlling appliances from a phone or voice assistant. Each plug handles up to 1800 watts and includes real-time energy monitoring through the companion app. The ETL and FCC certified units are designed for indoor use only and operate between -4 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit. No separate hub is required to connect the devices.
Installation is a simple plug-in mount into any standard indoor receptacle followed by pairing through the Govee Home App using Bluetooth and a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. The app guides users through scheduling, grouping and voice-control linking for Alexa or Google Assistant. A common issue is attempting to join a 5 GHz WiFi band which the plugs do not support, causing the pairing to fail. The physical button on each unit allows local on/off control if the network is temporarily unavailable.
Under continuous load the fire-resistant enclosure and 15A rating maintain stable performance for high-draw appliances such as coffee makers up to the 1800 watt limit. The operating temperature range of -4 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit defines the environmental envelope for sustained use without derating. Energy monitoring logs daily, weekly and monthly data for up to one year so long-term consumption trends remain visible. The 1-way digital switch and single receptacle per unit keep the power path straightforward during extended duty cycles.
