Four independent 3G-SDI connections capture and play back SD or HD video up to 1080p60 on a single PCI Express slot

  • Four independent 3G-SDI connections for flexible multi-stream I/O

  • Capture and playback run at the same time
  • Reference input supports black burst and tri-sync
  • Single PCI Express slot fits four channels in tight servers

Four independent 3G-SDI channels

The DeckLink Duo 2 is a professional video I/O card that provides four completely independent 3G-SDI connections on a single PCI Express card. Each channel can be configured as an input or output, allowing mixed SD and HD formats up to 1080p60 simultaneously. It is built for developers and system integrators building custom playback or capture servers.

Sustained multi-stream operation

Because each SDI connection operates independently, the card handles continuous capture and playback across all four channels without dropping frames or locking formats together. The four-lane Generation 2 PCI Express interface delivers the bandwidth needed for concurrent 1080p60 streams, while the onboard reference input keeps multiple cards genlocked in larger server deployments.

PCI Express slot and reference signal

Verify that your host system has an available PCI Express slot with at least four electrical lanes and that the chassis can accommodate a full-height card. Ensure your workflow can supply a black burst or tri-sync reference signal if you plan to synchronise multiple cards or external devices. The SDK requires a supported operating system for channel configuration.

Questions about this item

Does the DeckLink Duo 2 need active cooling when it captures four 1080p60 streams continuously?

The card occupies a single PCI slot and draws power from the bus; no fan or heatsink is mentioned in the design.

What host connection must my workstation provide for this card to operate?

A 4-lane Generation 2 PCI Express slot is required for the DeckLink Duo 2 to function.

Will the reference input on this card accept black burst from a legacy SD router?

The reference connection supports black burst and tri-sync, so it can sync with older SD equipment.
