Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K

This PCIe capture card adds professional video ingest to a desktop workstation. It accepts one 10-bit SDI input and one HDMI 2.0a input for flexible source selection. The Gen 2 PCIe four-lane interface fits 4, 8 or 16 lane slots. It targets editors and broadcasters who need reliable capture without external boxes.

Suits single-source live production

The card handles one video stream at a time, so multi-camera switching requires additional hardware. Users needing simultaneous SDI and HDMI capture should consider a multi-channel alternative. Audio over SDI carries 16 embedded channels for surround mixes. It is not for portable recording or laptop-only setups.

Captures up to Ultra HD over SDI and HDMI 2.0a

The 10-bit pipeline preserves colour depth for grading headroom. SDI supports SD, HD and Ultra HD formats on a single connector. HDMI 2.0a handles equivalent resolutions with consumer cameras. Bandwidth is limited to one 4K stream; dual 4K or high-frame-rate 4K exceeds the four-lane Gen 2 ceiling.
