Professional SSD dock for media editing

Blackmagic MultiDock 10G is a 1 RU all-metal server chassis that holds four SSDs and connects to a Mac or Windows computer through a single 10 Gb/s USB-C link. Each slot has its own SATA driver chip and an illuminated activity indicator so editors and colourists can work directly from media disks on set or in the studio.

Suits professional film and television workflows

The rack-mount design and independent SATA controllers make it ideal for users who need reliable, simultaneous access to multiple drives for editing, colour grading or media management. It is not intended for builders who need internal drive bays inside a workstation case or for anyone who requires a desktop-form-factor dock that sits outside a standard equipment rack.

Single 10 Gb/s USB-C host connection

The rear panel provides one high-speed USB-C interface that aggregates bandwidth for all four SSD slots, so the host computer must supply a compatible USB-C port capable of 10 Gb/s operation to achieve full performance.

Questions about this item

What host connection does my computer need to use all four slots at once?

A single 10 Gb/s USB-C port handles all four drive slots simultaneously.

Will my existing 2.5-inch SATA SSDs work in each bay without extra adapters?

Each slot has its own SATA driver chip, so standard 2.5-inch SATA drives fit and run at full speed.

How can I confirm every drive is communicating properly after I plug the chassis in?

Each bay has an illuminated activity indicator that lights up when that specific drive is being accessed.
