Delivers 48V at 9.5A with active PFC, constant current limiting and remote sense in a 1U desktop chassis
The NShi HRP-450-48 is a single-output 450 watt power supply delivering 48 volts at 9.5 amps for server and industrial equipment. It accepts universal AC input across the full range and withstands a 300VAC surge for five seconds. Built-in active power factor correction and constant current limiting protect connected hardware.
This unit replaces supplies that lack active PFC, remote sense or DC OK signalling. The jump is worth it when equipment requires forced-air cooling in a 1U low-profile form factor and current-sharing capability for redundant configurations. Built-in remote ON/OFF control and a 5V standby output add management flexibility.
The 1U low-profile chassis fits standard server rails and uses forced air cooling from a built-in DC fan. Installers must verify that the AC input voltage matches the universal range and that the 48V output matches the load requirement. No load power consumption stays below 0.5 watts, minimising idle draw.

The unit is a 1U low-profile design for desktop chassis; it uses forced-air cooling via its built-in DC fan, so allow front-to-rear airflow space.
Connect AC input (L, N, FG), DC output (+V, -V), remote sense (+S, -S), DC OK signal, remote ON/OFF control, and the 5 V / .3 A standby output; the remote-sense wiring is the step most often missed.
The built-in DC fan will require periodic dust cleaning and eventual replacement; electrolytic capacitors age with heat and load cycles, so plan for capacitor replacement after several years of continuous 450 W operation.
