BlueRigger Toslink 15FT Audio Cable

The BlueRigger Toslink optical cable carries digital audio over a 15 FT fibre run. It connects soundbars, home-theatre receivers, TVs, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4 consoles using standard S/PDIF ports. Gold-plated tips and a CL3-rated jacket make it suitable for permanent in-wall routing as well as desktop use.

Check your devices for Toslink ports before ordering

Verify that both source and destination equipment have square optical sockets labelled S/PDIF, Optical or Optic. The cable transmits uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats including Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, ADAT and LPCM. Remove the protective rubber caps from each connector before inserting them.

CL3-rated PVC jacket withstands 25000 bend cycles

The flexible black sheath meets fire-safety requirements for in-wall installation while remaining pliable enough for tight bends behind furniture. Twenty-four-carat gold plating on the four connectors resists oxidation and maintains low-loss signal transfer. Dust caps protect the polished fibre ends during storage or when the cable is disconnected.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to connect a soundbar to a TV?

The package contains the 15 FT optical cable with four 24K gold-plated Toslink connectors and removable rubber tip protectors. No extra adapters are required if both devices have standard Toslink ports.

Which length should I choose for a typical living-room setup?

The 15 FT length suits most soundbar-to-TV or console-to-receiver runs across a medium-sized room. Measure the exact path including bends before deciding.

What does the 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound support mean when I plug this into my home theatre?

The cable carries compressed multi-channel formats such as Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD as well as uncompressed PCM, so your receiver can decode full 5.1 or 7.1 soundtracks from a TV, Xbox 360/One or PS4.
