Industrial Dust Mop Head

The Boardwalk BWK1312 is a 12-inch by 5-inch cotton dust mop head designed for floor maintenance in commercial or residential settings. Its cut-end style reduces snags while sweeping dust and debris from hard surfaces. The head attaches to a compatible frame and handle sold separately. It works with standard dust mop treatments for added shine.

Ten-Ply Cotton Construction

Ten-ply Hygrade cotton provides absorbency and durability for repeated laundering. A quick-drying synthetic backing with a keyhole-style half-tie secures the head to the frame. The included mesh bag allows the entire mop head to be washed without tangling. Cut-end yarn minimizes fraying during use and cleaning cycles.

Compatibility Check Required

Verify that your existing dust mop frame accepts a 12 by 5 inch slot-pocket head with half-tie backing. The manufacturer lists Boardwalk 1412 and 1490 frames as compatible matches. No handle or frame is included in the package. Ensure your cleaning solution is suitable for cotton mop heads before applying.

Questions about this item

How does the 12" x 5" size affect coverage per pass?

The 12-inch width covers a wide path on hard floors, reducing the number of passes needed for open areas while the 5-inch depth keeps the head manoeuvrable around furniture legs.

Which frames and handles does the BWK1312 fit?

The slot-pocket backing with half-tie synthetic straps is designed for Boardwalk 1412 and 1490 frames; other brands may not align with the keyhole openings.

What is the correct way to attach the mop head and the step users often miss?

Slide the frame into the slot pocket, then secure both half-tie straps through the keyhole openings; skipping the second strap leaves the head loose and prone to twisting.
