What this mop head is

The Boardwalk BWK1400LEA is a large blue wet mop head built with looped-end construction and a durable tailband. It uses a 4-ply blend of cotton, rayon and synthetic fibers that absorbs more than four times its weight in water. The head is sold as a single unit and contains 67 per cent total recycled content, including 30 per cent post-consumer material from PET bottles.

When the looped end pays off

The looped-end design reduces fraying and survives repeated laundering better than cut-end alternatives, so the jump is worth it for facilities that wash and reuse mop heads regularly. The thick tailband keeps the strands aligned during wash cycles, while the synthetic content raises abrasion resistance for rougher floor surfaces. Buyers who need a disposable head for one-off jobs will not benefit from the added durability.

How it fits the cleaning setup

The red headband fits standard wet-mop handles and frames that accept a large looped-end head, letting crews swap heads without changing hardware. Because the fibers shed less lint, the mop leaves less residue on finished floors and reduces the need for repeat passes. The recycled PET content supports sustainability goals without requiring separate composting or biodegradability handling.

Questions about this item

What size mop handle or frame does the large looped-end head fit?

The head is sized Large and uses a standard tailband that slides onto common wet-mop handles or clamp frames; no proprietary hardware is required.

How do I attach the looped-end mop head to the handle without damaging the tailband?

Open the clamp or slide the handle through the red headband, centre the tailband, then tighten — forcing the band sideways can tear the stitching.

How many times can I launder this mop head before the synthetic-cotton blend wears out?

The 4-ply synthetic and cotton fibers are designed for repeated machine washing; the 67 % total recycled content (30 % post-consumer, 37 % pre-consumer) maintains abrasion resistance through many cycles.
