Boardwalk 18 Inch Palmyra Floor Brush

The Boardwalk BWK20118 is an 18 inch floor brush head built for commercial cleaning crews and facility managers. Its hardwood block holds natural Palmyra fiber bristles trimmed to 3.25 inches for aggressive debris removal. Two threaded handle holes accept standard threaded poles sold separately. The natural colour indicates untreated plant fibre.

Thermals Noise And Power Draw

This manual tool generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws zero electrical power during use. Operator effort determines the physical exertion required for sweeping tasks. The Palmyla fibre stiffness resists matting when pushed across rough concrete or smooth tile. No motor, battery or cooling system is present.

Upgrade From Synthetic Push Brooms

The brush replaces lighter synthetic push brooms that wear quickly on abrasive floors or heavy construction debris. The jump is worth it when daily sweeping covers large warehouse aisles, loading docks or outdoor pavements. It is not suited for fine dust capture on polished hardwood or for users who need an integrated handle.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the brush head to a handle and what is the common mistake?

Screw any standard threaded handle into one of the two threaded holes in the hardwood block; the mistake is forcing the wrong thread pitch or leaving the second hole exposed to moisture.

When will the 3.25" Palmyra bristles need replacement?

Replace the head when the natural Palmyra fibers wear down, split, or no longer flick debris effectively; lifespan depends on floor roughness and daily sweep volume.

What limits continuous heavy-duty sweeping with this 18" head?

The hardwood block can absorb water and warp if used on wet surfaces, and the natural Palmyra bristles soften faster on abrasive concrete than on smooth floors.
