Industrial barebone with i7-5500U

This fanless mini PC ships as a complete barebone system with an Intel Core i7-5500U processor, 16 GB DDR3L memory and a 512 GB mSATA SSD already installed. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-loaded and the Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives dual displays through HDMI and VGA. It targets integrators and industrial users who need a ready-to-run platform for automation, signage or edge gateway tasks.

Sustained load behaviour

The sealed, fanless chassis is rated for continuous 7×24 operation and uses the full metal enclosure as a heatsink to dissipate heat from the 2.4 GHz dual-core CPU during long duty cycles. Two Gigabit LAN ports and six RS232 COM ports maintain deterministic I/O throughput without thermal throttling, while the mSATA SSD and optional 2.5-inch SATA bay keep storage latency predictable over extended runs.

Pre-order checklist

Verify that your mounting location accepts a fully closed, dust-tight chassis and that the 6 COM, 4 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, dual LAN and audio ports match your cabling plan. Confirm the 512 GB mSATA capacity meets the application image size or budget for an additional 2.5-inch SATA drive. Ensure the power source can trigger the auto-power-on and timed-boot features supported by the industrial firmware.

Questions about this item

Does the fanless i7-5500U stay cool during 24/7 operation?

The sealed industrial chassis is built for continuous 7×24 use without a fan, relying on passive cooling to handle the i7-5500U's heat output.

What display cables must I already have to use the HDMI and VGA ports?

You need an HDMI cable for the HDMI port and a VGA cable for the VGA port to connect up to two monitors.

Can I keep using my RS-232 serial devices with the six COM ports?

Yes, the six COM RS232 ports provide native serial connections for legacy industrial equipment.
