Compact 70V horn speaker for paging systems

The Bogen HS15EZ is a 15 watt reentrant horn loudspeaker built for 70V amplifier lines. Its small form factor suits schools, industrial plants, construction sites and recreational areas where clear voice projection is required. The all-metal, weather-resistant housing withstands harsh outdoor conditions while maintaining high speech intelligibility.

Stepped attenuator and tilt-swivel base simplify

A built-in stepped attenuator lets installers set volume locally without extra wiring or tools. The integrated tilt and swivel mounting base allows precise aiming of the sound pattern after the speaker is secured. This adjustability reduces on-site time and makes seasonal re-aiming straightforward for maintenance crews.

Replaces fixed-mount horns lacking local level

Installations that previously used passive horns without onboard attenuation gain independent zone volume management. The upgrade is worthwhile when zones need different loudness levels from a single amplifier channel or when outdoor durability and quick re-aiming are daily operational needs.

Questions about this item

What does the 70V rating mean for this speaker?

The HS15EZ is designed for 70V amplifier systems, so it connects directly to the speaker line without a separate transformer and draws up to 15 watts from that line.

What mounting hardware is included for the tilt and swivel base?

The built-in base allows tilt and swivel adjustment; the speaker ships with the mounting bracket attached, ready to fasten to a wall or ceiling surface.

How is the built-in stepped attenuator set during installation?

Turn the rotary control on the speaker to the desired tap position before powering the amplifier; this sets the maximum output level for that zone.
