Round Metallic Enclosure for Ceiling Speakers

The Bogen RE84 is a round metallic enclosure built for 12-inch ceiling speakers. It fits into suspended ceilings and is designed to keep sound directed into the room instead of leaking into the plenum above. Installers use it with the TB8 tile bridge to create a clean, finished installation in commercial spaces.

12-Inch Diameter with 4-1/2-Inch Depth

The enclosure measures 12-1/4 inches in diameter and 4-1/2 inches deep, giving enough internal volume for standard 12-inch drivers. It will not accommodate larger drivers or deeper speaker assemblies that exceed this cavity size. Buyers needing enclosures for smaller speakers or different ceiling grid systems should look at other models.

Questions about this item

Will the 12-1/4" diameter RE84 enclosure fit alongside my existing ceiling tiles without extra cutting?

The round metallic enclosure measures 12-1/4 inches in diameter and 4-1/2 inches deep, matching standard tile openings so it sits flush with the grid.

How can I verify the RE84 is correctly preventing sound from entering the air cavity after installation?

Listen in the plenum space above the ceiling; you should hear noticeably less speaker output there compared to the room below, confirming the enclosure is blocking upward sound leakage.
