Target device and protection level

This hard case fits the 13.3 inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, model numbers A1502 and A1425, released from 2012 through 2015. It adds a dual layer shell plus a silicone keyboard cover for owners who want full body protection without removing the case for daily use.

Upgrade from sleeves or skin only covers

A simple sleeve protects only during transport while a skin guards against scratches alone. This case stays on during operation, covers every edge, and includes vent slots for heat dissipation so the jump is worth it when the laptop lives on a desk and travels in a bag.

Build fit and included extras

The snap on design allows full lid opening and keeps every port accessible for charger, cables and headset. Rubberised feet hold the machine steady and the foldable stand props it at a typing angle. A transparent silicone keyboard skin is included to block spills and dust from the keys.

Questions about this item

Which MacBook Pro 13.3 inch Retina model numbers does the A1502 hard case fit?

The case fits models A1502 and A1425 released in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, including part numbers MF843LL/A, MF839LL/A, MF840LL/A, MF841LL/A, MGXD2LL/A, MGX72LL/A, MGX82LL/A, MGX92LL/A, ME864LL/A, ME865LL/A, ME866LL/A, MD212LL/A, MD213LL/A, ME662LL/A and ME664LL/A.

How do I snap the dual-layer case onto the MacBook without blocking the vent slots?

Align the top shell with the hinge side first, press the corners until each clip clicks, then seat the bottom shell so the rubberised feet sit flush and the ventilation areas line up with the MacBook's own exhaust grilles.

When should I replace the included transparent silicone keyboard cover?

Replace the keyboard skin when it shows permanent deformation, tears, or no longer lays flat, as a worn cover can trap debris and reduce key travel.
