BONAEVER M.2 NVME SATA USB 3.1 Adapter
This BONAEVER adapter connects M.2 NVME or NGFF (SATA) solid-state drives to a USB Type-A port. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors with B-key, M-key or B+M-key layouts. The RTL9210B controller provides UASP and TRIM support for reduced overhead. It suits technicians and users who need quick external access to different M.2 drives.
Upgrade from single-protocol docks
The adapter replaces separate NVME-only or SATA-only readers by handling both protocols in one unit. The jump is worth it when you regularly move data between NVME and NGFF drives and want a single compact device. PCI-E AHCI protocol drives are not supported, so owners of those modules will need a different solution.
Capacity and headroom
Drives up to 4 TB can be installed, giving ample space for large backups or media libraries. Theoretical throughput reaches 10 Gbps for NVME and 5 Gbps for NGFF, with a referenced read speed of 1000 MB/s. Performance scales with the drive used; slower USB 2.0 ports will limit transfer rates.
