4K Video Bar for Hybrid Meetings

The Boom Collaboration AURA is a USB 3.0 conferencing device built for hybrid meetings, classrooms and secure environments. It delivers 4K UHD video through an 8-megapixel sensor with a 120-degree field of view. Integrated 10x ePTZ and AI auto-framing keep participants in focus without manual adjustment. Six beamforming microphones capture clear audio across the room.

USB 3.0 Plug-and-Play Limits

The unit connects via a single USB 3.0 cable for both power and data, enabling driver-free operation on compatible hosts. Bandwidth is constrained by the USB 3.0 interface, which caps sustained throughput for 4K video streams. Cable length is fixed to the supplied lead, limiting placement distance from the host computer. No alternative video outputs or network interfaces are provided for extended cabling.

120-Degree Field of View Coverage

The 120-degree horizontal field of view determines how many seats fit in frame without mechanical pan or tilt. Rooms wider than this angle will show gaps at the edges or require the bar to be mounted further back, which the fixed cable may not allow. Buyers needing wider coverage or multiple camera positions should consider a different form factor.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 10x ePTZ version or a fixed-lens model for a medium meeting room?

The 10x ePTZ lets you zoom in on whiteboards or presenters without moving the bar, while a fixed lens would need to be mounted closer to the action.

What does 4K UHD actually deliver on a typical meeting-room display?

The 8-megapixel sensor outputs 4K UHD video over USB 3.0, so a compatible screen shows crisp detail for documents and faces alike.

How does USB 3.0 affect the 120° field of view and 6-microphone array in practice?

USB 3.0 bandwidth carries the wide 120° 4K stream and six audio channels simultaneously without compression artefacts.
