Drafting stool for adjustable work heights

The B1637-BK stool is built for drafting tables, medical stations and other elevated surfaces where a standard chair cannot reach. A pneumatic gas lift raises the seat from 26 to 29.5 inches while a 20 inch chrome footring gives feet a stable platform at any height. Loop arms sit between 33.5 and 37 inches high and the back angle lock secures the backrest through its full range for consistent lumbar support.

Stable base and mobility for hard floors

A 27 inch nylon base spreads the load to 250 pounds capacity and resists tipping when the user leans forward. Hooded double wheel casters roll smoothly on hard floors and low pile carpet without snagging cables. The three paddle mechanism controls seat tilt lock, back angle lock and height adjustment from a seated position so posture changes do not require standing up. Overall depth of 35.5 inches and height up to 48 inches fit typical drafting aisles without blocking traffic.

Crepe upholstery and MAS Green certification

Black Crepe fabric covers the 19.5 by 17.5 inch seat and matching back for a durable, wipeable surface that withstands daily cleaning in clinical or studio environments. MAS Green certification confirms the materials meet low emission standards for indoor air quality. No additional tools or software are included; the stool ships fully assembled in a single carton ready for immediate use.

Questions about this item

How long before the pneumatic gas lift stops holding the 26–29.5 in seat height under daily use?

The pneumatic gas lift is designed for repeated height adjustment; its internal seals maintain the 26–29.5 in range for the life of the stool under normal office conditions.

Does the 27 in nylon base and hooded casters stay quiet and cool during an all-day shift?

The nylon base and hooded double-wheel casters produce minimal rolling noise and generate no heat, so the stool remains quiet and temperature-neutral throughout extended use.

What tools or parts must I already have to assemble the B1637-BK stool?

No additional tools or parts are required; the stool ships with all necessary hardware for assembly of the 27 in base, footring, loop arms and gas lift.
