Electric Pencil Sharpener

The Bostitch 03773 is a heavy-duty electric pencil sharpener designed for coloured pencils. Its hardened steel cutter delivers 65% faster sharpening with 6x longer cutter life. A QuietSharp motor provides quiet, stall-free operation under normal use. Thermal overload protection extends motor life.

Home, office or classroom users

Suited to anyone needing fast, precise sharpening of coloured pencils with minimal noise and mess. The safety switch stops the motor when the shavings tray is removed. Tip Saver Technology prevents over-sharpening to extend pencil life. Not for buyers who only use standard graphite pencils or prefer a manual sharpener.

65% faster sharpening speed

This single figure shows the sharpener cuts coloured pencils much more quickly than conventional models. Combined with 6x cutter life, it means less downtime and fewer replacements. The oversized shavings bin reduces how often you empty it. If speed and durability are not priorities, a simpler sharpener may suffice.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 6-pack or a single unit for my classroom?

The supplier ships this model in a selling unit of six black sharpeners, each weighing 0.903 kilograms and measuring 7.5 in x 4 in x 5 in, so one order equips multiple workstations at once.

What does 65% faster sharpening actually mean when I use it?

The motor delivers continuous, stall-free operation that sharpens pencils 65% faster than standard models, while Tip Saver Technology retracts the cutter once the tip is ready to prevent over-sharpening.

How does the safety switch work with the shavings tray?

MagnaSafe Technology stops the motor automatically whenever the easy-clean shavings receptacle is removed, and thermal overload protection further safeguards the motor during heavy use.
