Compact 40-sheet stapler

The Bostitch B175-PURPLE-M is a compact manual stapler that handles up to 40 sheets of paper. No-Jam technology prevents staple misfires during regular use. A flat clinch design keeps paper stacks neat and flat. The metallic purple finish adds a distinctive look to a desktop.

For occasional heavy stapling, not high-volume runs

This stapler suits teachers, students and office workers who need to bind thicker handouts or reports a few times a day. The half-strip format and 1000-staple reload limit make it impractical for mailrooms or print shops that run hundreds of sets daily. Buyers who want electric operation or full-strip capacity should look elsewhere.

40-sheet capacity defines the use case

The single figure that decides fit is the 40-sheet maximum stapling capacity. It delivers twice the throughput of a standard half-strip model while remaining small enough to store vertically or horizontally. If your typical job exceeds 40 sheets, this mechanism will not close cleanly.

Questions about this item

What staple capacity does the B175-PURPLE-M handle in a single press?

It staples up to 40 sheets of standard paper at once, roughly twice the capacity of a typical desktop stapler.

What are the exact footprint dimensions so I can check desk space?

The stapler measures 11.51 cm long by 7.7 cm wide and stands 1.57 cm high, weighing 0.23 kg.

How do I load staples and what is the common mistake to avoid?

Push the release at the rear to slide the magazine out, insert a full strip of 1000 standard staples, then push the magazine back until it clicks; the frequent error is stopping before the click, which leaves the channel misaligned and causes jams.
