Heavy-Duty Electric Sharpener

The Bostitch EPS8HD-CHAR is a corded electric pencil sharpener built for offices and classrooms that process high volumes of graphite and coloured pencils. Its QuietSharp motor delivers stall-free operation during extended use, while Tip Saver Technology automatically retracts the cutter once the point is formed to prevent waste.

Plug-In Setup with Safety Interlock

Installation requires only a mains outlet; no software or drivers are involved. A MagnaSafe interlock stops the motor whenever the high-capacity shavings tray is removed, so the cutter cannot run exposed. The tray slides out for emptying and clicks back in to re-enable operation.

Sustained Use Without Overheating

Thermal overload protection guards the motor during long sharpening sessions, allowing continuous duty without tripping. The durable cutter is rated for six times the life of standard blades, maintaining consistent speed — 65 per cent faster than conventional sharpeners — across thousands of pencils.
