A complete 240 W P-VIP lamp module with housing, ready to install in Mitsubishi HC8000 projectors and rated for 2,000 to 5,000 hours
This BOXLIGHT Mitsubishi HC8000-BL replacement lamp arrives as a fully assembled 240W P-VIP bulb inside its housing. It is designed for owners of compatible Mitsubishi projectors who need a direct swap without handling a bare burner. The module matches the original VLT-HC7800LP form factor for straightforward installation.
The lamp runs at 240W and is rated for 2,000 hours in normal mode or 5,000 hours in economy mode. Economy operation reduces brightness and heat output, lowering fan noise and extending the replacement interval. Actual runtime will vary with usage patterns and projector ventilation.
Each unit is manufactured to ISO 9001 standards and tested for beam performance, ignition, voltage, connections and run-time. The assembled housing protects the bulb during handling and ensures correct alignment in the projector. Buyers who need a bare bulb only or a different wattage should look elsewhere.

The module arrives as a fully assembled bulb and housing (Mitsubishi part VLT-HC7800LP). Power down the projector, let it cool completely, then remove the old lamp cage and insert the new one until it seats firmly; the step most often missed is forgetting to reset the lamp-hour counter in the projector menu after installation.
The lamp itself is the only consumable. In Normal mode it is rated for 2,000 hours and in Economy mode for 5,000 hours; once brightness drops or the projector signals end of life, replace the entire module again — no separate filter or bulb-only change is required.
The rated lamp life is the first hard limit: 2,000 hours in Normal mode or 5,000 hours in Economy mode. After that the lamp may fail to ignite or fall below usable brightness, so plan replacement around those hour figures.
