BOYA BY-MC2 USB Conference Microphone

The BOYA BY-MC2 is a directional condenser microphone built for conference calls and voice recordings. Its super-cardioid polar pattern isolates the speaker while reducing surrounding noise. The unit draws power directly from the USB connection so no battery or external supply is required. Plug-and-play operation means it works immediately without installing drivers.

Super-cardioid pattern and USB power

The focused pickup pattern rejects off-axis sound to keep voices clear in busy rooms. Because the microphone is powered over USB, there is no need to manage batteries or carry an extra adapter. The fixed cable connects straight to a computer port for a simple setup that stays reliable during long meetings.

50Hz-20KHz frequency response

The published range of 50Hz to 20KHz covers the fundamentals and harmonics of human speech for natural reproduction. Very low rumble below 50Hz and ultrasonic detail above 20KHz are not captured, which is acceptable for conferencing but limits use for full-range music recording. The USB interface also means the microphone cannot be used with traditional XLR preamps or mixers.

Questions about this item

Will the condenser capsule on the BOYA BY-MC2 need replacing after extended use?

The condenser capsule is a solid-state component with no moving parts, so it does not wear out under normal conference use.

What limits recording time when the BY-MC2 is used for back-to-back meetings?

The microphone draws power directly from the USB port, so recording can continue as long as the host computer remains powered on.

How much heat or fan noise does the BY-MC2 produce during all-day conferences?

The unit has no internal fan and draws minimal USB power, so it stays cool and silent even during continuous operation.
