Studio monitoring headphones for mixing and DJ use

The Boytone BT-10BK is a wired over-ear model built for studio monitoring, mixing and DJ work. It uses 50mm neodymium drivers with a 32Ω impedance and 110dB sensitivity. The frequency response spans 20Hz to 40KHz with a maximum input power of 1600mW.

Behaviour during extended sessions

Soft padded ear cushions and an adjustable stretchable headband are designed for comfort and noise isolation over long periods. The 90° swiveling ear cups allow single-ear monitoring when needed. A 9.8ft coiled cable gives freedom of movement without excess slack.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise do the 50 mm drivers produce after hours of use?

The headphones are passive with no internal electronics, so they generate no heat or fan noise; the only warmth comes from body contact with the ear cushions.

What device or cable must I already own to use the 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm plugs?

You need a source with a 3.5 mm or 6.35 mm stereo output; both a 3 m coiled cable and a 1.2 m cable with microphone are included in the box.

Will the 32 Ω impedance and 110 dB sensitivity work cleanly with an older laptop headphone jack?

Yes, the 32 Ω load and 110 dB sensitivity are well within the range that legacy 3.5 mm laptop outputs can drive to comfortable volume without distortion.
