This active cable converts a digital HDMI output to an analogue VGA input for monitors, projectors or HDTVs. Plug-and-play, unidirectional only

No driver or software installation is required on supported devices; simply connect the HDMI plug to the source and the VGA plug to the display. The cable transmits video in one direction only, from HDMI to VGA, and cannot carry signals from a VGA source to an HDMI screen. Gold-plated contacts and a braided jacket aim to maintain stable transmission over time.

Check HDMI port power and device list

Verify that the source device provides enough power on its HDMI port; low-power ports on some Sony PS4 models, MacBooks and other Sony equipment will not drive the converter.
