Extension cord for TRRS microphones

The Brainwavz PM10EC6 is a 20 ft male-to-female 3.5 mm TRRS cable that extends the connection between a lavalier microphone and a smartphone or tablet. It lets content creators move away from the recording device while keeping a wired link.

Suits solo creators needing extra reach

This cord serves vloggers, interviewers and mobile journalists who record with a single TRRS lavalier mic and want more freedom of movement. It does not help users whose microphone uses a three-ring TRS plug, nor teams that need to connect multiple microphones at once.

Adds 20 ft of cable length

The bundled 20-foot cable is the only accessory; it simply increases the working distance between mic and device. No adapters, splitters or software are included, so the kit does not change the microphone’s polar pattern, power requirements or compatibility with non-TRRS inputs.

Questions about this item

Does this 3.5mm TRRS extension cord work with my iPhone's headset jack?

Yes, the male-to-female 3.5mm TRRS connector is compatible with iPhone and Android devices that use a four-ring 3.5mm jack for microphone input.

Can I use this 20 ft cable with a TRS lavalier microphone that has only three rings?

No, this extension is wired for TRRS (four-ring) connectors only; a TRS microphone will not pass audio correctly through the cable.

How can I confirm the 20 ft extension is carrying clean audio after I plug it in?

Record a short test clip on your smartphone, then play it back listening for consistent levels and no static or drop-outs along the full cable length.
