What this adapter does

This Brainwavz adapter converts an HP 7.4mm x 5.0mm barrel charger into a USB-C Power Delivery source. It accepts DC input from 15V to 20.5V and delivers up to 100W through the USB-C male connector. The 17.4cm cable lets you power phones, tablets and laptops from an existing brick.

How it fits your kit

The female DC7450 port fits barrel tips measuring 7.4mm x 5.0mm, matching common 45W, 65W and 90W HP power supplies. An internal PD chip negotiates 5V, 9V or 20V output automatically. Your charger must exceed the device’s power draw; a 90W brick cannot run a 90W or 100W laptop.

Thermals noise and power

Passive construction means no fan noise and no active cooling required. The nylon-braided cable houses a pure copper core for efficient current delivery up to 20V 5A. Metal injection-moulded connectors resist wear during daily plug cycles. Not suitable for devices needing more than 100W input.
