Oracle Touch Espresso Machine

The Breville Oracle Touch BES990BSS is a fully automatic espresso machine with an integrated conical burr grinder and touch screen interface. It targets home users who want third wave specialty coffee without manual grinding, dosing or tamping steps. The dual boiler system allows simultaneous extraction and steaming for efficient drink preparation.

Compatibility Check Before Buying

Verify that your kitchen bench can accommodate the 14.5" depth, 14.7" width and 17.6" height of the stainless steel housing. Ensure a suitable power outlet is available for the appliance rating. The machine uses a built-in water filter, so check local water hardness to gauge filter replacement frequency. No plumbing connection is required as it uses a removable reservoir.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The dedicated steam boiler maintains consistent pressure for back-to-back milk texturing without temperature drop between drinks. PID temperature control keeps extraction water stable during repeated shots, preventing bitterness from overheating. The over pressure valve limits peak pump pressure throughout each extraction, protecting flavour during extended use. The self-cleaning steam wand purges automatically after each texturing cycle.

Questions about this item

Does the Oracle Touch BES990BSS come with the grinder built in or do I need to buy a separate one?

The machine includes an integrated precision conical burr grinder that automatically grinds, doses and tamps 22 grams of coffee, so no separate grinder is required.

What does the 4.2 pound capacity refer to on this model?

The 4.2 pound figure is the bean hopper capacity, letting you store a large amount of beans before needing a refill.

How does the dual boiler design affect making multiple drinks in a row?

Separate boilers for brewing and steaming allow simultaneous extraction and milk texturing, so you can pull shots and steam milk at the same time without waiting for temperature changes.
