A managed 16-port SFP switch with VLAN, QoS, LACP and 9600-byte jumbo frames
The Brocade BR-VDX6730-16-F is a managed network switch equipped with sixteen SFP ports. It supports VLAN segmentation, 9600-byte jumbo frames, SNMP monitoring, QoS prioritisation and LACP link aggregation. The unit operates on AC 120/230 V at 50/60 Hz and is supplied new.
This switch fits environments that aggregate multiple fibre links through SFP transceivers and require managed Layer 2 features such as VLANs, QoS and LACP. It is not suitable for deployments that need integrated copper ports or higher port densities.
The sixteen SFP interfaces define the switch's connectivity; each port accepts a compatible transceiver for the required fibre type and distance. Confirm that your cabling plan matches this port count and media type before purchase.

Power off the switch, insert each transceiver straight until it clicks, then connect cables; the step people miss is skipping the click check and forcing a misaligned module.
The internal AC power supply operating at 120/230 V 50/60 Hz and the cooling fans are the parts most likely to require replacement over time.
The 16-port SFP line-rate ceiling is reached before the 9600-byte jumbo frame buffer fills, so aggregate port bandwidth becomes the bottleneck.
