Business fax and printer

The Brother IntelliFAX 4100 is a monochrome laser multifunction printer designed for office fax, print, copy and scan tasks. It produces black output at up to 2400 x 1200 dpi with a maximum speed of 15 pages per minute. A duty cycle of 8000 pages per month supports regular daily workloads. The unit includes 8 MB memory that can store up to 500 pages for out-of-paper reception or broadcast faxing to 182 locations.

Desktop build with dual interfaces

The desktop form factor uses a 30-page automatic document feeder and a 250-sheet standard paper tray that also serves as the maximum input capacity. An optional second 250-sheet tray can be added for extra capacity. Connectivity is provided through a USB port and a parallel port for direct attachment to a PC or network print server. Media handling covers plain paper, transparency and envelope types.

Efficient thermal and power profile

Laser printing at 15 ppm operates within a 110 V AC supply without excessive heat or fan noise in typical office use. Quick Scan captures documents into memory at up to 2 seconds per page while sending or receiving faxes, reducing active scan time. The 14.4K modem and 132 auto-dial numbers keep fax transmission brief, limiting power draw during communication sessions. High-yield consumables extend service intervals and lower running costs.
