The Brother PT-H500Li is a mobile thermal-transfer label printer designed for professionals who need laminated labels on site or at a workstation. It prints at 30 mm/sec with a maximum resolution of 180 x 360 dpi and includes a rechargeable Li-ion battery, AC adapter, USB cable and a starter tape cartridge. A graphical LCD shows 16 characters across three lines and the built-in QWERTY keyboard supports one-touch formatting keys.

USB interface limited to legacy OS versions

Connectivity is provided by a single USB port for use with the supplied P-touch Editor software on a PC or Mac. The printer driver supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10, plus Mac OS X 10.6.8 up to 10.10.x. No wireless, Bluetooth or network interfaces are present, so the device must be tethered to a host computer for software-driven label design.

24 mm tape width defines every label

The only tape width accepted is 24.00 mm, supplied in laminated, flexible-ID, extra-strength adhesive, iron-on fabric, acid-free and tamper-evident varieties up to 26.20 ft per roll. Maximum print height is 18.00 mm across seven print lines, so label layouts wider or taller than these dimensions cannot be produced on this model.
