Three-device RCA selector

This manual switch connects up to three composite sources such as a game console, DVD player or VCR to a single TV input. It requires no external power and operates with a simple selector button on the top panel. The unit accepts three sets of RCA audio and video cables and routes the chosen signal to one output.

Replaces cable swapping

Instead of unplugging and reconnecting RCA leads each time you change device, the switch handles the routing instantly. The jump is worth it when you regularly use more than one legacy source on a TV that has only one composite input. It does not convert or upscale the signal, so picture quality remains exactly as the source provides.

Composite bandwidth limit

The switch passes standard-definition composite video and stereo audio through passive contacts. It cannot carry progressive-scan, component or digital signals, and it will not work with devices that output only HDMI or S-Video. Cable runs longer than the supplied 25 cm lead may degrade the already limited composite bandwidth.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 25 cm cable need behind the TV?

The 25 cm cable adds roughly a hand-width behind the panel, so allow at least that much clearance plus the 102 g switch body itself.

Which button do I press to change from the DVD player to the game console?

Push the single selector switch on the top once; each click cycles through the three RCA input sets.

Will the gold-plated RCA contacts need cleaning later?

The contacts are standard RCA metal; if the picture gets noisy, unplug each cable and wipe the pins with a dry cloth.
