Mini DisplayPort 8K cable for 8K monitors
This BUCIER cable connects Mini DisplayPort sources to full-size DisplayPort displays at up to 7680×4320 resolution and 60 Hz. It also handles 4K at 144 Hz for high-refresh gaming. The bi‑directional design works from a Mini DP laptop to a DP monitor or from a DP computer to a Mini DP screen.
DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth and display requirements
The cable operates within the DisplayPort 1.4 standard and its 32.4 Gbps link rate. An 8K 60 Hz image demands the full bandwidth, so the attached display and GPU must both support DisplayPort 1.4 and DSC compression. A Mini DP monitor used as the sink must accept video input on its Mini DP port.
Bi‑directional Mini DP to DP connectivity
This single male-to-male cable carries signals in either direction without an adapter. It is not for users who need a Mini DP to HDMI, USB-C or DVI connection, nor for setups that require active signal conversion beyond the DisplayPort 1.4 specification.

Questions about this item
Which cable length should I choose for my setup?
The supplier title lists a 1 metre version; choose a length that reaches between your Mini DisplayPort source and the full-size DisplayPort display without strain.
What does the 7680x4320 at 60 Hz figure mean when I plug this in?
It means the cable can carry an 8K signal at 60 frames per second from a Mini DisplayPort source to a DisplayPort monitor, provided both ends support that resolution and refresh rate.
What does the DisplayPort 1.4 rating cap in real use?
DisplayPort 1.4 limits the link to 32.4 Gbps, which enables 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HDR, but higher resolutions or refresh rates would exceed that bandwidth.
