Two-cable USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 kit

This pack contains a male-to-male cable and a male-to-female cable, each three feet long. Both cables support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 at 20 Gbps and USB Power Delivery 3.1 up to 240 W. They also carry 4K video and audio at up to 120 Hz and include E-Mark chips for safe high-power negotiation.

Check your host and device ports

Ensure both ends of the connection have USB-C sockets that support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 or Thunderbolt 3 to reach the rated 20 Gbps data rate. For 240 W charging the power source and the sink must both implement PD 3.1 at 48 V / 5 A. Video output requires the source port to support DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C.

Suits users needing max-speed data

Ideal for creators moving large video files between a MacBook Pro and a high-speed SSD dock while simultaneously powering a 16-inch laptop. Not suited for buyers whose devices only offer USB 2.0 or 10 Gbps USB-C ports, or for setups that require longer cable runs than three feet.

Questions about this item

What cables are in the 2-pack and do I need anything else?

The pack contains one 3 ft male-to-male cable and one 3 ft male-to-female extension cable. Both have USB-C connectors on each end, so no extra adapters are required for USB-C devices.

When should I pick the male-to-male cable versus the male-to-female extension?

Use the male-to-male cable for a direct link between a host and a peripheral. Choose the male-to-female extension when you need to lengthen an existing USB-C cable without changing its connector gender.

What does the 20 Gbps rating deliver on a MacBook Pro?

It provides USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 data speeds up to 20 Gbps, 4K video at 60 Hz or 120 Hz, and up to 240 W charging at 48 V / 5 A with a compatible PD 3.1 charger.
